Since painting the portrait of dad, I&#8217;ve started 3 new portraits of people who liked dad&#8217;s painting, and offered to sit for a portrait of their own. At this point, I&#8217;m not doing these for money, it&#8217;s just for practice.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m unsure what will happen to the portraits. I may enter them in a show, or an art competition. But eventually they will belong to the people who posed for them. I sort of owe them, since I would have to pay an artist model $30\/hour to pose for me. And at seven or more hours per portrait, I can&#8217;t afford to pay models.<\/p>\n<p>Working on friends is a perfect fit.
