Chimney Rock, Joshua Tree, California
I painted this in 2015. It was New Years Eve day, and there were two other painters there. I have never seen other painters there, and only saw these two as I was walking away from my 3 hour painting. They were working 5 x 7, and I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to work that small. Though I must admit this painting wouldn’t fit in my backpack. I had to carry it in my hands the half mile back to the car. I had a blast painting it in the warm winter sunshine. 16 x 20″ oil on board.
