To help me better understand what you are looking for in your Web Site, I've put together this list of questions. Please answer them to the best of your ability. If you don't understand a question, or if it doesn't pertain to your situation, skip to the next question. Click on Submit when you are ready to send. Your answers will be emailed to me.   1. What is the primary message you wish to convey to your audience with this web site?




  2. What are you hoping to accomplish, what is the end result? (inform, sell, educate, etc.)




  3. What specific goals do you or your company hope to reach with this web site?




  4. Who is your target audience? Is it different from your current customer base?




  5. How is your company is different from it's competitors?




  6. Why do customers choose your company over your competitor?




  7. Describe how you want your web site to be perceived. What image do your with to project? (formal, professional, serious, fun, refined, artistic, casual, worldly, service oriented, etc.)




  8. Is this a change in your company's image? If so, why?




  9. What is the biggest challenge you have in communicating your services to your customer?




  10. Describe any existing advertising logos or design styles that your company has in place.




    • Who is the printer and or advertising agency?




    • Does your advertising agency or printer use a specific Pantone color reference number such as Pantone 185 Red?




    • Do you own the copyright to use the design images on your web site?




  11. How does your target audience perceive your company? Do you want to continue this image through your web site?




  12. List the URLs of 3 web sites that you find compelling. What attracts you to these sites?




  13. List several URLs of your competitors and explain how you would improve on their ideas.




  14. What action would you like your target user to take from your entry page? (examples: follow a specified path, browse, phone, email, enter e-commerce area)




  15. What key elements would you like to remain common on every page, i.e.: email icon, navigation bar, logo, background images etc.?




  16. Will this web site use existing content? Where is it coming from and who has final approval?




  17. What is the basic structure or outline of your content?




  18. What computer platforms are your end users using to view your web site? (older Pentiums and small monitors or modern Pentiums and Macintoshes with 17 inch monitors)




  19. Would you like to use any specific effects like JavaScript or Flash? How will they enhance the site?




  20. Do you need e-commerce and database functions? Does your company already have a database in use? Please describe.




  21. What type of secure transactions will you need?




  22. What are your short-term business goals(next 6 months)?




  23. How will this web site help you achieve these goals?




  24. How do you plan to advertise this site?




  25. Do you intend to update this site regularly?




    • Who is responsible for updating and providing the content?




    • How often will this be done?




  26. Who are the main contacts from your company involved with this web site and who has final approval on content? Please list names, titles, email addresses and phone numbers.




  27. When do you plan to go live with this site?




  28. What are the circumstances surrounding this deadline?




  29. Do you have a domain name in mind? Is it already registered?
